Shawna Boulette Grapentine is a Cree-Ojibway artist known for her vibrant use of colour, intricate detail, and distinctive silhouettes inspired by the natural world. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she was raised in the small Métis community of Manigotagan and is a member of Hollow Water First Nation.

Inspired to create from an early age, Shawna began exploring her artistic talents at the age of twelve. The landscapes, wildlife, and cultural teachings of her upbringing continue to influence her work, resulting in paintings that celebrate the beauty and interconnectedness of nature.

A graduate of Wanipigow School, Shawna has developed a recognizable artistic style that combines bold colours with flowing forms and detailed imagery. Her artwork has earned admiration for its ability to capture both the spirit of the natural world and the rich cultural heritage that inspires it.

Today, Shawna lives with her family in Rainy River, Ontario, where she continues to create and share her unique artistic vision.
