Artist and Author Jocelyn Winterburn has lived in various areas of British Columbia (BC).
She was born on Vancouver Island and it is there she developed her love of the
ocean and the wood that resides upon its shores. The various beaches have
provided Jocelyn with a plethora of driftwood from which to express her artistic
nature. Inspired by many pieces that contain elements of animal beings, much
of Jocelyn’s work features an ‘animal in the wood’.
Jocelyn works in acrylics and her choice of medium reflects the drama and intensity of her artwork.
Jocelyn is a non indigenous author and artist. Her book was edited, and cover design by Metis editor, TJ Wallis.
