Amy Keller-Rempp is an Indigenous artist whose heritage, family, and connection to the natural world are central to her creative vision. Raised in rural Ontario, she grew up surrounded by wildlife and natural landscapes that continue to inspire her artwork today. Her parents, a hardworking German-born pipeline worker, Dale, and a proud Tyendinaga Mohawk woman, Bonnie, recognized and encouraged her artistic talents from an early age.

Working primarily in acrylic and oil, Amy has developed several distinctive styles that she describes as Modern Impressionism. Her artwork reflects both her Indigenous roots and her deep appreciation for nature, often capturing the beauty, spirit, and character of animals and their habitats.

In addition to her painting, Amy is renowned for her metal artistry. Her exceptional ability to cut, grind, and sculpt metal has earned her recognition as one of Canada's leading metal artists, with collectors appreciating the unique creativity and craftsmanship evident in every piece.

Amy credits much of her success to the unwavering support of her parents. Their encouragement inspired her to continue developing her talents and pursuing her artistic dreams. Although her father has passed on, his belief in her remains a lasting source of motivation and inspiration.

Today, Amy's work is celebrated for its vibrant energy, technical skill, and heartfelt connection to both her Indigenous heritage and the natural world.

“My parents,” she explained, “have always been the driving force. They often told me how proud they were of me; both said I would be famous one day. They encouraged me to continue to grow and though my dad is no longer here, I still feel that encouragement.”
